Teak wood is the best primary material for making furniture. Teak has many advantages over other types of wood.
One of the advantages of teak is that it has straight stems, is resistant to weathering, termites, and is easy to work.
This is why teak is the first choice for making furniture.
This wood is native to Myanmar. From there it then spreads to various regions with monsoon climates. The reason is
that this wood will only grow well in soils with rainfall between 1500-2000 mm/year or temperatures between 27-36
degrees Celsius. So naturally, this type of wood would not grow well in areas of Europe that tend to have low temperatures.
Teak grows mainly in countries such as India, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand, as well as Indonesia.
Teak is also the main material used in manufacturing various types of furniture today. Even this wood is considered top-notch
in terms of beauty and durability.
As mentioned before, teak tends to have a unique color. The color of teak wood ranges from light brown to light gray to dark
reddish brown. Additionally, teak can have a very smooth surface. Also, this wood has a natural oil, so termites don’t like it. Even
though it's not painted, the teak still looks shiny.
In this modern era, the role of teak wood as the main ingredient in making furniture can be replaced by other materials such
as artificial wood or iron. But the uniqueness and luxury of teak will never be replaced.
